Felo Le Tee On How His Joint Collaboration With Mellow & Sleazy Came About. Tsholofelo also knosn as Felo Le Tee has been dubbed a music genius in the Amapiano genre and his work has received massive plaudit since he made his mark. Not only has he made a name for himself but he is so known for dubbing Kendrick Lamar’s album as it was number 1 on Apple Music.
During an interview with SA Hip Hop Mag, the Amapiano sensation opened up about his collaboration with amapiano duo Mellow and Sleazy, and how it came about. “I first collaborated with the duo on a hit single ‘Bopha’, and crazy enough is that we were the leaders of sghubhu- bacardi sound at the time. So we made a couple of songs separately using the sound and people loved it. So then on my Ep, I called them to come to the studio and we were thinking on ways to evolve the sound so it doesn’t sound the same. So we had the same vision and goal which was to better the sound and take it to a whole new level,” he explained.
“It’s always just about delivering the best, I think that’s the pressure that I’m facing,” he said. “It’s about delivering the best to people you know, I’m a firm believer in delivering like the perfect product,” he added. He went on to say that, even though a project is not above par, it must have a good standard without compromising the quality of the music.
His aim is to pur effort into his songs so that people appreciate how hard he works for his achievement. “For me more than anything, it was just about putting in the work so that people can understand that actually Felo actually works or Felo is actually good at what he does.“I need people to understand that even if maybe I dont drop two months down the line people must still have faith that this guy is good and is going to give us dope music, because not only does he tries to do better he listens to what we want as the people as well.” Said Felo.
