Pabi Cooper’s Waga Bietjie Reaches 1 Million Views On YouTube. Born Paballo Mothapo, Cooper started out as a dancer who performed at small scale concerts. Despite being noted as an entertaining dancer, the multi-talented musician believed there was more to her as a performer than just dancing. That’s when she shunned her imposter syndrome and embarked on a singing career that saw her collaborate with amapiano stars such as Focalistic and Ch’cco.

Pabi Cooper always envisioned she would be a success, whether as an actress or soccer star,  but she never thought that in just a year she’d be a highly sought-after, platinum-selling amapiano vocalist. Since the release of Isphithiphithi in 2021, the singer’s life has taken a 360-degree turn. Her hit single released just few months ago has now amassed over 1 million views on YouTube. This is a huge milestone the star does not take forgranted as she thanked her fans for the support. See post:

While adjusting to fame, Pabi says she’s happy to be living her dream. She writes down all her wishes in a journal and believes that’s the secret to her success. “I always believed that one day a lot of people would know me. But when it happened, it shocked me because I thought it’d be after 10 years. I write a lot. Some of the things that are happening now are in my book. It was God’s plan. Prayer and having good energy can show you a lot.”

When she came into the music industry, Pabi was under Amaroto’s management, but is now her own boss through record label Cooper Entertainment. “Being an independent artist is not easy. When you’re under a label everything is done for you. When you’re independent, you have to tell your team what to do, but I like being my own boss. Everything was smooth for me and I am going to leave my mark. I want to be known as a great vocalist and performer.”
