Mfana Kah Gogo Opens Up About His Plans After High School. Mfana kah Gogo, who just passed his grade 12 at Fundinduku Secondary School in Tafelkop, near Groblersdal in Limpopo, started out singing gospel at church. Since his uncle was a hip-hop singer, though he never became famous, Mfana kah Gogo developed interest in the genre. He says it was only in December that he started singing Amapiano music. Since then he has composed songs that can fit in two albums.
Now that Mfana Ka Gogo is done with matric he plans to focus his energy on his music. The amapiano star took to his social media pages to inform his fans he has passed and thanked his team for the support they gave him while he was making music and going to school. “My journey with school was difficult, it wasn’t easy. I had to go to school in the morning while I had events at night. I’d be home at 5am and by 6am I have to be up and go to school.
“What motivated me to finish school was that I had made a decision and committed to finishing school, even if I’m successful in the music industry, so that I have something to fall back on. Most of the time I see a lot of artists depend a lot on music and then things don’t go well. You need to have another option on the side to strike a balance,” he said.
“My focus this year is to push a lot of music and see how that’s going to go. I’m working on an album that’s going to come out before the end of January.”“I have learnt a lot in my journey in the music industry because I get the opportunity to see people I want to see and work with.”
After starting his journey in church, he found his beat in amapiano.“I always sang at home. I would praise and go with my grandmother to church, but I ended up loving hip-hop. I followed the likes of Justin Bieber and here the likes of AB Crazy. So when amapiano arrived I adjusted to it and realised this was a sound I enjoyed.”
