DJ Kotini Reacts To Rumours That He Suffered From Stroke. DJ Kotini reacts to rumors of suffering a stroke shortly after Mampintsha died of a stroke.The DJ who is a businessman and business manager to Sithelo Shozi affirmed that he was indeed hospitalized but not for stroke.
The surfaced after Durban-based artist Tzozo claimed that DJ Kotini was ill. Speaking to Daily Sun, DK Kotini said he did not suffer a stroke and he only went to see a doctor after suffering from fatigue.
Kotini whose real name is Siyabonga Zikode said he went to the hospital after being diagnosed with Covid.“People must stop lying, I didn’t suffer a stroke, but I was diagnosed with Covid 19. I went to the hospital and didn’t stay long,” he said.“For now, I’m recovering from home. I decided to suspend making music until next year. I don’t want to overwork myself until I’m fully recovered,” the DJ added.
Asides from Kotini who was rumored to be suffering a stroke, Lvovo was announced to be hospitalised due to a minor stroke. Derrango Records, the label of award-winning artist Thokozani Sphamandla Ndlovu, better known as L’vovo has also slammed hurtful rumors of the singer’s alleged demise.This follows after sensitive social media users shared that the musician had died causing panic on social media. In a statement, the label pleaded with the public to refrain from spreading the fake rumours.The label issued an update on his health and said he is making excellent progress in his recovery. “This notification serves to dispel the trending rumours that he has passed. This is untrue and grossly hurtful to his family. He is still hospitalised and making excellent progress,” read part of the statement.
“This is a public notification to media, events promoters, fans, and all relevant stakeholders by Derrango Records on behalf of its multi-award winning artist by the name of Thokozani Sphamandla Ndlovu also known as ‘Lvovo Derrango.”
On Saturday, the record label shared that the singer was admitted to a hospital after he suffered a stroke during a performance in Ndwedwe, KwaZulu-Natal.“Lvovo Derrango suffered a minor stroke during his performance at Indwedwe on [Friday]. He is admitted at the hospital for medical attention and he is responding very well. We kindly ask that you keep him in your prayers and we’re confident that he will come out of this difficult situation stronger. The family kindly ask for public and media to respect their privacy during this difficult time,” read the statement.
