DJ Sumbody’s Second Bodyguard Has Passed Away. DJ Sumbody was an artist and also had a passion for radio. Before his big break in the music industry, he volunteered at a community radio station in Tshwane.Because of his work ethic, he eventually got his own show Mashaedi on the Engage along with DJ Syco and Lee on Tshwane fm which he also produced. According to a statement from his management, Sumsounds Music, the Ayepyep musician — whose real name is Oupa John Sefoka — died in the early hours of Sunday morning, 20 November
It has been less than a month since South Africans were devastated about the death of popular Musician and businessman DJ Sumbody who was killed in a hail of bullets alongside his bodyguard a fortnight ago, leaving the nation in heatbreak as to whom would kill the DJ in such a brutal manner.
When the DJ was shot at while traveling in his Volkswagen Golf Gti, another bodyguard of his was also shot at while driving a BMW X5 just behind him, luckily on that day he survived and was taken to hospital.
The unamed body guard had been fighting for his life in the hospital following the incident. Unfortunately it has been revealed that he succumbed to his injuries and had since passed on.This now leaves the case very slim in discovering what exactly happened on the night as he could have been the one who could have shed some light as to what happend on that fateful night. The identity of the bodyguard in question is still unknown.
Oupa John Sefoka, known as ‘DJ Sumbody’, has died.Sumsounds Music confirmed the amapiano pioneer’s death in a statement on Sunday, two weeks ago. “Artist and musician DJ Sumbody has died. Details of his untimely death cannot be released, but the artist named Oupa John Sefoka allegedly ran into an unfortunate incident that led to his passing in the early hours of Sunday morning, 20 November.”
