“DJ Sumbody Must Fight From The Grave” – DJ Sumbody’s Family On How They Will Spend The First Christmas Without Him. The Ayepyep co-founder and hitmaker was shot and killed, alongside his bodyguard and driver, known as Wolter Sbusiso, in a drive-by shooting in the early hours of Sunday. Gauteng police launched a search for the killers.

DJ Sumbody’s aunt says that the slain DJ must fight and avenge his death beyond the grave. The family has not been receiving threats. She said that they pray that he gets his revenge from beyond the grave but said that in the wake of his death, they have not been receiving weird calls or threats. DJ Sumbody’s aunt Motlakaladi Moshidi said that the family will have a bad Christmas and a New Years celebration as they will spend those days without the popular DJ for the first time.

The family of slain amapiano DJ Oupa “DJ Sumbody” Sefako has told Daily Sun that they are waiting to hear that their son’s killer has been arrested. Motlakaladi said, “We hope that God and our ancestors intervene so the perpetrators get what they deserve. At the moment, we are waiting to hear that they are arrested…The family is still traumatised and mourning his death.”

Last month on 20 November the family of the owner of Ayepyep lifestyle was seen fetching his spirit from the scene of the where he was brutally murdered. Some believe that this practice may have been to ensure that the DJ comes back to avenge his death from those that killed him brutally.
