Pic! Young Stunna’s Album Goes Platinum

Pic! Young Stunna’s Album Goes Platinum. Sandile Msimango, popularly known by his stage name Young Stunna is a South African singer. He is known for his hit singles “Bopha” and “Adiwele”. He has also extensively worked with record producers DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small.

Notumato by Young Stunna is undoubtedly one of the finest Amapiano project ever released in modern times. The album which was released in 2021 demonstrated mainstream Amapiano at its finest and charted in South Africa and across the African continent. In just one year after it was released, Young Stunna’s Notumato has now amassed over one 40,000 sold units, the requirement for Certified Platinum by the Recording industry of South Africa (RiSA).

Not only was Notumato certified platinum, tracks from the project such has Adiwele and Sithi Shwi also went platinum while Camagu and Shenta were certified gold.Celebrating its one year anniversary, Young Stunna has this to say about the project. “NOTUMATO turns one today , when I dropped it last year on this day , I didn’t think I’d be where I am today 😪 ! Thank you so much for your undying support ❤️ May the Lord continue to bless all of you. 🤞🏽 WE CELEBRATE TODAY ! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY !” he wrote.

While “Adiwele” was already a hit at clubs locally when Uncle Waffles posted that viral video of herself DJ and dancing to it at a show, that moment and the subsequent hype were vital in helping make the song an international hit. It’s been doing major numbers ever since.
