Focalistic Reveals The Official Release Date For His Album ‘Ghetto Gospel’. Lethabo Sebetso, professionally known as Focalistic, is a South African rapper. Born and raised in Pretoria, Sebetso was a footballer prior pursuing a music career as a rapper, released his debut studio album Sgubhu Ses Excellent.
Focalistic is set to drop his debut album which he titled, Ghetto Gospel.Taking to his Instagram stories, the Amapiano star says he’s been dropping EPs and the announced project will be his first album. It will drop on the 18th of November and features the likes of Kabza De Small, Mellow and Sleazy, Myztro, and M.J.
The musician says he will be open-minded as the music will speak his mind.“For those who’ve noticed … my music has become very reflective. I’m at a point where I enjoy speaking my mind, DILO Tsa NNETA FELA. I love the art of words and how we can manipulate them. It must come from the rap background I have. I can now fully express what I fill, and that’s amazing!!! That’s why I decided to actually drop my first album ever (the others were EPs)… Enjoy the music with me, I can’t wait,” he wrote on his Instagram stories.
Focalistic together with Daliwonga and Young Stunna will headline the Road to Afrochella concert at Altitude Beach in Johannesburg on 30 October. They will be joined by Ghanaian artists Stonebwoy and Gyakie as well as locals Nirvana Nokwe, Venom & Shishiliza, Uncle Party Time, DJ Pizaro and DJ Loft. The event will be hosted by South African TV presenter Leddi G and Ghanaian radio host Kojo Manuel.
The announcement was made by Culture Management Group (CMG) as an experiential pop-up event designed to introduce and highlight Afrochella in the sub-Saharan market. The Road to Afrochella will be held ahead of Afrochella 2022 which will be headlined by Burna Boy and Stonebwoy in Accra, Ghana, from 28 and 29 December.
“Afrochella has always been more than just a festival in Ghana and because of that we’re so excited to bring our ‘Road to Afrochella’ series to South Africa,” Afrochella CEO and co-founder Karim Abdullah said. “Through this pop-up event, we have the opportunity to bring our platform to other regions across Africa, help elevate their homegrown talent and design a unique cultural experience that merges the exciting worlds of fashion, art, music and food together.”
