Lady Du Wishes Mpura A Heavenly Birthday. It’s been a year since they died and left South Africans grieving and in search of answers. Amapiano artists Killer Kau, Mpura, Khanya ‘The Voice’ Hadebe, Thando Tot, and TD died in a car crash while on their way to gigs in Rusternberg, North West. The tragedy happened during the lockdown, which had heavy restrictions and a lot of their fans couldn’t be part of the candlelight ceremony, memorial services, and funerals because there were limits in place to curb the spread of Covid-19.
Lady Du has taken to her social media to wish Mpura a happy heavenly birthday. The Amapiano star passed on after being involved in a fatal accident on the 9th of August, 2021. The musician died alongside Killer Kau, Khanya Hadebe and few others. The passing of the stars shook the industry and left many devasted.
Taking to social media on Thursday, the 22nd of September, fans and celebrity friends pay tribute to Mpura, wishing him a happy birthday in heaven. Lady Du also shared a photo of Mpura as she captioned: “Happy heavenly birthday bro we miss you sooo much ”
The late amapiano musician Mpura’s manager Karabo Pappi Forbes says he lost everything when he lost his best friend. Taking to Twitter, Karabo opened up about how picking up the pieces after Mpura’s death was hard for him. “When I lost Mpura, I lost everything. My best friend and my job. Starting all over again from the bottom is painful & hard, but I hope sh*t comes together sooner or later.”He shared an old clip of them laughing while travelling.
