Sam Deep Reacts To His First Ever Platinum Plaque For His Hit Single. Sam Deep is not a new name in the industry, and he has a couple of hits that have earned him the respect he has today. With hits like ‘Khuzeka’ featuring De Mthuda who dominates the genre, and yet here the approach to the song is a lot more laid back than his typical sound. Sam Deep collaborated on the track with Playgal, an up-and-coming female DJ.

Music producer Sam Deep collects his first ever platinum plaque for hit single, Kusezo Khanya. Kusezo Khanya, Sam Deep’s single featuring Babalwa M, De Mthuda, Playgal and Sipho Magudulela is platinum 4 months after its release. Sam Deep was awarded his first ever platinum plaque yesterday afternoon at an intimate event held at Universal Music Group offices to celebrate this huge milestone. Taking to Instagram, he shared photos of the platinum presented to him by his record label, Universal Music Group. “Proud Moments, Thank you for the love & support. It’s been a great journey. More Music coming soon,” he wrote.

To mark the milestone, Sam Deep also released the visuals for Kusezo Khanya. The high-quality music video, that went live yesterday, showcases working towards your dreams for a better and a shiner day. The song is an inspiration for a better tomorrow. The laid-back mid-tempo Amapiano song, has a melodic guitar intro which gives the song a bit of a Samba feel, yet still authentic to the ‘Mapiano sound.

This comes after Maphorisa called out Universal Music for killing amapiano, claiming that they removed Scorpion Kings mix on YouTube because of the release of Sam Deep’s song, Thokoza. He slammed the label saying they a not well savvied on how to make money. “So Universal Music removed our Scorpion King Mix on youtube cause they wanna drop Thokoza by Sam Deep first; the funny thing is we making the song BIG ayiiiii ke di Bari shame they really don’t know how to make money,” he tweeted.
