Tyler ICU, real name Austin Baloyi says that Dr. Dre got him interested in doing music in general because he was the leading producer in 2002 and 2003. “I started exploring with beats when I was about 10-years old and that’s when I got my first computer. When I was 15 years old I started to make the work more professionally,” sad Tyer ICU.
The beat mastermind has worked with the likes of Riky Rick, King Monada, Madumane, Shasha, Kabza De Small, and DJ Maphorisa – his recent work is with Cassper Nyovest on the song Good For That. He says that he got to work with Cassper Nyovest when DJ Maphorisa asked Cassper to come work on some songs for a project. “One of the nights Cassper said that he wants to do some hip hop tracks. I played the beat after recording the first song that hasn’t dropped yet so that’s when Good For That came about,” explained the producer.
