Sizwe Alakine Celebrates His Birthday With A Brand New Whip. Sizwe Moeketsi Moniker (born June 30, 1987), is a South African rapper commonly known as Reason (and now known as Sizwe Alakine after pursuing an Amapiano career), he came to prominence after his collaborative work with Ms. Nthabi. He has worked with some of South Africa’s respected names such as Stogie T, Moneoa, ProVerb, DJ Maphorisa, Kwesta, and HHP just to mention a few.

Sizwe Alakine was celebrating his birthday yesterday and he showed off his brand new car. The star turned 35-years-old yesterday and he is grateful to God. Taking to Instagram, Reason shared videos and images of him receiving a new VW GTI. Reson gave a shout-out to Warner Music Africa for remembering him on his birthday with a brand new car. “2000 ela zalwa ngo87. Here’s to more life… and more rides,” he wrote.

He recently signed a deal with Warner record label. Also known as Reason, the rapper has been venturing into amapiano as of late and is set to release more music within the genre to celebrate the deal“I’ve been looking for the best deal for me and my legacy for the past five years,” he said. “After all that I’ve done independently, I needed to work with a company that could do more for me than I could for myself. Warner has committed to growing both the Reason and Sizwe Alakine brand in ways that now on else could and I’m excited for the line of great music and creative we have lined up.”

Reason joined the music industry as a hip hop artist in 2005. He gained popularity in the hip hop scene after releasing ‘Breathe’. The popularity of the track brought about collaborations with fellow rappers Proverb and Tumi Molekane. He has won a number of awards and performed at home and abroad. Since crossing over to South Africa’s biggest genre at the moment, he has collaborated with a number of popular amapiano artists including DJ Maphorisa on ‘Khanda Shisa’.
