Bonang Matheba Allegedly Dating Banele Mbere. Bonang Matheba is undoubtedly one of South Africa’s leading personalities with a cult-like following who address her as “Queen B”. The star has been making boss moves including launching her own beverage line, winning awards and hosting The Real Housewives of Lagos reality show.
Last year the story broke that the Queen B* had found her King B* in the arms of Banele Mbere, one-half of Major League DJz. The speculations gained traction as the paparazzi-style images of the two started circulating on the internet. It seemed that people had been sitting on the images, waiting until it was a story to leak the images. However, it seems the rumours are still circulating to date.
Entertainment blogger and socialite Musa Khawula took to social media to share screenshots of Mihlali, which he suggests Bonang could possibly be dating Banele Mbere. He wrote: “context? remember a couple of weeks ago when mihlali posted a ‘meme’ of bonang? also remember when mihlali dated banele of the major league djz? It turns out bonang is dating banele, this comes after she tagged him on a post saying ‘come home so i sit on your face’.”
Major League DJz on the other hand have also been building their brand using amapiano sound globally. “We basically became the face of the genre and we’ve been that to the world for a while now,” Bandile said. Having performed all over the world, the duo says they’ve been mostly well received in Europe. “We’ve been all over, but the most receptive country has been the UK after we introduced this genre to them,” Banele explains.
He says their success is the reason why some artists want to leave their music genres, such as hip hop, for Amapiano. “They think they’ll make money quickly, but the truth is that it takes time.”
