Watch! Kabza Opens Up About Featuring Upcoming Artists Over Industry Big Dogs On His Latest Album ‘KOA’.Amapiano is undoubtedly growing and the success of the genre has exceeded people’s expectations – we give the credit to most yano producers who have given all effort in ensuring the consistent production and release of songs for the past three years.

Kabza De Small who is regarded as the King of Amapiano is forever grateful to the genre as it’s catalyzed his life to the peak. He also recently dropped his amapiano album titled ‘KOA’ and he opened up about his decision to feature upcoming artists over industry titans. “I decided to work with upcoming artists because talent is a lot out there. Most artists that are unknown need to be recognised,” he said. Watch the video on the link below:

In a recent interview, Kabza who reportedly started making music in 2009 spoke about how the genre changed his life for the good; he also made it known that he was aware that the amapiano will make him great.“When I started creating amapiano, I knew this genre was going to change my life, but for it to travel this far at this rate is truly an honour and a blessing. The pace at which it’s moving is such a shock and I pray it continues to break boundaries,” he said.

The feature coincides with the release of the producer’s 18-track album KOA II featuring such artists as DJ Maphorisa, Ami Faku, Lady Du, Yung Stunna and Nobuhle, among others.“Amapiano is for the youth,” Kabza De Small told Spotify. “Amapiano is not something that was involved with a lot of things. Like now, this is when they are starting to brand amapiano. Amapiano developed on its own, do you understand? You must know, like labels and stuff, we started this thing from scratch. There wasn’t too much sampling and stuff, those things are only starting now. It’s something that was innovated.”
