Sizwe Alakine Opens Up About His Latest Single ‘After Tears’ As A Tribute To Riky Rick. Sizwe Moeketsi Moniker is a South African rapper commonly known as Reason (and now known as Sizwe Alakine after pursuing Amapiano career), he came to prominence after his collaborative work with Ms Nthabi. He has worked with some of South Africa’s respected names such as Stogie T, Moneoa, ProVerb, DJ Maphorisa, Kwesta and HHP just to mention a few.

The rapper released a new hit single titled ‘After Tears’ featuring Boohle and DJ Stokie. It’s his first release after the artist signed a deal with Warner Music South Africa. The track was recorded last year and is a personal tribute to the late Riky Rick and DJ Dimples.“I’ve always believed music to be reflective of the human experience. At the time of recording, I had no idea that the song would hit home for me, having encountered multiple losses in a personal capacity,” he said.

“This song is an ode to all those who have passed on, something we’ve all experienced, particularly during the pandemic. My music continues to tell our stories and heal us,” he added.

Boohle said: “I heard the song and could immediately relate. The first vocal that I’d recorded somehow went missing, and Sizwe waited for me to return from my trip to London to rerecord. This is a big song that’s relevant to the times we’re living in.”
