Major League DJz Reveal The International Stars They Would Like To Collaborate With. Major League DJz are an experiential DJ duo that incorporate percussions in their DJ sets giving an element of a live performance. Major League DJz consists of identical twins Bandile and Banele Mbere. This twin set are a dynamic duo bringing fresh energy to every platform they engage with.Born in Boston, USA, the twins moved to South Africa after the apartheid era. Their move to South Africa came with the exposure to music at a very young age. Today, they are one of the most influential amapiano duos in the country.
The duo has achieved a lot when it comes to their music career, however they still want more. Major League DJz revealed that they would like to work with Adele and Diddy. ‘The full circle will be when we have the right features. Adele on speed-dial and Diddy on the call you know. We want the right shows but not just playing them, headlining the shows.”
Recognising that the road is still long, Major League DJz display incredible drive and have consistently surpassed each of their goals while remaining humble and cheerful in the face of adversity as they continue. “We need the Queen as well to knight us, that’s the real full circle,” they said.
They have also been recently nominated at the BET Awards 2022. The nominees for the annual BET Awards were announced on Wednesday 1 June and pop star Doja Cat leads the pack with a whopping six nominations while R&B star Ari Lennox and Canadian sensation Drake follow closely behind with four nods each. Mzansi’s amapiano stars Major League DJz have scored their first-ever BET nomination in the Best International Act category.
