Kabza De Small Flaunts His #SAMA28 Multiple Nominations. Kabelo Motha also known as Kabza De Small continues to make headlines with his contribution in the music industry. The star has gained the name “King of Amapiano”.
Kabza De Small has dominated the SAMAs with over six nominations. The star took to social media to flaunt his nominations. It comes as no surprise that Amapiano has dominated the categories of the 28th annual South African Music Awards (SAMAs), which will be presented at a live event to be broadcast on 31 July 2022 on SABC1.
Although Amapiano music was considered an underground genre since 2012, we’ve seen it become popular and enter the mainstream. The genre has developed into a proudly South African sound that has dominated the airwaves, birthed new dance challenges and produced a number of new artists.
Amapiano DJ De Mthuda bagged four nominations for his hit-songs Jola and John Wick in both the Record of the Year and Music Video of the Year categories. Other artists who received multiple nominations include Mi Casa for Mamela , Kabza De Small for Abalele and Asibe Happy both with DJ Maphorisa and Ami Faku, in addition to Woza with Mr JazziQ, Lady Du and Boohle.
