She recently got signed to one of the biggest record labels in South Africa, which means she’s well on her way to achieving her dream.
Spura has one of the biggest amapiano songs in the country titled ‘Megalo’ which features Reece Madlisa and Zuma. She continues to prove that she is no one hit wonder as she has revealed that she would love to collaborate with amapiano vocalist and rapper Sir Trill. Taking to social media, Spura made the revelation and it reached Sir Trill who approved of the collaboration idea. See post:
She’s not afraid of fame. She knows there are great things in the industry as well as a more dark side. She is determined to focus on the good so she can achieve all her dreams.“When you’re a young vocalist you follow everyone, and I was discovered by Dada, and he handed me to Ambitiouz Entertainment, and everything came to me as a surprise and till this day I am grateful that he saw the potential in me. Right now, it is overwhelming and scary and not everyone is going to have something nice to say so having to deal with public criticism [is new].”
“I started singing at church and I realised that although I do well at school, books are not for me, I want to pursue music. I fell so deeply in love that it became something through which I learn in and I started becoming mature in that field.”
She draws inspiration from Venda artist Makhadzi and she hopes that one day she will work with her.“Makhadzi is everything and more, she’s doing so well in the music business. But I also look up to the late Whitney Houston and Beyoncé, she’s a great performer. It’s amazing to see that you can be anything within the music industry.”
