Busta 929 Releases A Statement Following Exploitation Claims Made By Mgiftoz Entertainer. Busta 929 is a famous South African musician, entrepreneur and social media star. He is renowned for his energetic music, and one of his hits, Umsebenzi Wethu is still a banger in clubs and social gatherings. He is no stranger to social media controversy either.
Amapiano artist Mgiftoz Entertainer took to social media to share his experience on the music industry, revealing that he is being exploited by record producer Busta 929, who failed to compensate him for the songs he featured on. To drive the point home about the dire state of his financial situation, Mgiftoz followed up with another post, showing a text exchange between him and the mother of his child, who was blasting him for failing to provide for their daughter.
According to Busta, however, Ngiftoz’s statement was not only defamatory but also contained false accusations. Busta, who’s garnered a bad reputation in the past for hanging out with underage girls, refuted claims that Mgiftoz was never credited for his contributions to the songs he listed above. In fact, Busta said, one can simply visit the songs on any digital streaming service to see that, contrary to the accusations, Mgiftoz is credited as a feature and songwriter.
Busta also rubbished allegations that Mgiftoz was never paid what was due to him for his contributions. However, nowhere in the statement does Busta confirm whether Mgiftoz owns a portion of the songs’ royalties. Instead, the Amapiano star has given his protege a short window to retract his accusations or face legal action. “It is unfortunate that I have to also address him on a public platform by issuing this letter as an effort to fix the damage he has caused or is causing. My legal team will make efforts to convey communication to him via his contacts for further remedial actions,” he wrote. Read the full statement below:
