Amaroto Cancel Their Cape Town Gigs. The duo named Amaroto had amapiano lovers dancing to their hits for most of the second half of 2020. From “Jazzidiscliples (Zlele)” to “Sithi Sithi”, “Lengoma”, “VSOP”, “uLazi” and more, they have undoubtedly solidified their place within the congested amapiano scene. Their captivativing lyrics and cadences are reminiscent of kwaito, and, by virtue of that, they have won the hearts of many.
The stars have cancelled their Cape Town Gigs at Club Saint, The Milk and Sneaker Cartel due to unforeseen circumstances. The duo released a statement under their own company ‘Amaroto’, and Zuma apologised for the inconvenience to his fans who were looking forward to seeing them perform.
The stars often confused for brothers, however, they have indicated that they are just close childhood friends. More than that, Reece Madlisa has also indicated that Zuma, real name Sabelo Zuma, used to look up to him when they were younger. Although, he has now found his own voice and interests as they have grown older. The duo also made it clear that they are not blood related when they shared a statement in September 2021, announcing a death in Zuma’s family and not Madlisa’s.
Their work ethic, hit-making abilities, and close working relations with other artists and producers such as Mpura, Mr JazziQ, Busta 929 and 9umba, guarantees that they are not slowing down anytime soon and their presence will be felt even further. The sequel to their striking Amaroto EP is currently loading, and, if the first one was anything to go by, fans are in for a treat.
