Duduzile Ngwenya, known as DJ Lady Du, and former Isibaya actor Andile Mxakaza separated a few months ago. The couple broke up in January, and the DJ revealed on her social media. They dated 12 years ago but only for a few months. They reconnected again in April 2020 and after four months of dating, Andile popped the question and Lady Du said yes.
Taking to social media, DJ Lady Du shared that after a number of attacks from strangers and people making her feel uncomfortable, she decided to leave the relationship.”I am not one for gossip, it bores me. This is from my heart, We did not break up, we followed our hearts and that meant separating before things went south. I’ve had numerous attacks from people I didn’t even know, people making me uncomfortable because of culture, people attacking my character, scratching my cars. So I decided it’s best I follow my heart and leave my relationship. We also realised we want different things. So we are both happy with the decision and we ask that you kindly respect it. It hasn’t affected any of us. Let it not affect you or make you sad. It’s life. We all need to live honest lives,” she said.

Lady Du’s father DJ Choc slammed her on video and hurled some insults. This comes after a post by the Amapiano performer painting her struggles growing up, and might have implied that her upbringing was somewhat poor.
The Amapiano sensation who according to her, has been in the industry since she was 10 years old, is currently trending for all the wrong reasons. In a now deleted post, Lady Du spoke about how she wants a different upbringing for her daughter and is working towards building a better life for her, something she apparently never had. Her post ruffled her father up and he took a video hurling a bunch of insults at his own daughter. In the video, the frustrated father said he did everything for Lady Du so he is confused when she implies that she grew up poor.

Amapiano hitmaker Duduzile Ngwenya, popularly known as Lady Du, parted ways with her management early this year. The uZuma Ke Yistar singer says she curses the day she signed her management contract and alleges that they, “tell people that I am not available for bookings”.In a statement posted on her Instagram account, the star tells fans and followers that she does not get paid on time, “mind you I don’t work for him, he gets paid off my bookings!! Has started taking cash from promoters I’m in hell guys I’ve been crying everyday nje.”

Lady Du celebrated her mother this year’s mother’s day. She bought her mom her dream car and dropped it off at her house. “Today was the most emotional day of my life. I told her I wanted to take her out since I didn’t yesterday, MOM thank you for teaching me God, for being the strongest woman I know,” wrote the singer.
