1 A Lesotho born multi-talented musician (saxophonist, Pianist, Djembe drummer and Marimbist), DJ and self-taught Producer 9umba is young upcoming star. He has worked extremely hard to get his name among the Amapiano Greats such as DJ Maphorisa, KabzaDeSmall, JosiahDeDisciple etc.
2 He started his career in 2015 as a rapper and as time progressed, he moved through different genres finally landing on Amapiano.
3 He grew up listening to RnB, soul, reggae, soukouss, salsa and Sotho music.
4 Letlotlo-la-Bakuena is currently studying Bcom Business Management at the University of Pretoria.
5 In 2020, 9umba produced two of the biggest songs in South Africa called VSOP and uLazi. 9umba produced uLazi alone and co-produced VSOP along side Busta929 while adding his wonderful Saxophone sound to the song with his famously known vocal melody “Iwe Mama weya he”.
