DBN Gogo Shows Uncle Waffles Support Amidst Social Media Criticism. When Uncle Waffles burst onto the scene in late 2021 with her viral performance video at a live show, a lot of people on social media thought she was just the flavour of the season. And even today, some still seem to express doubt over her long term potential in the music industry.
The newly international DJ had her first performance in the UK this past weekend and many fans were left feeling a little unimpressed. The female DJ who gained her fame from her insane performance of Adiwele by Kabza de Small has begun to lose her wow factor. Fans were left feeling underwhelmed after her UK debut gig. Her industry mate DBN Gogo has taken to social media to show support to the star amidst social media criticism. She advised Uncle Waffles to move and mize what is being said about her on Twitter. “Please always remember @unclewaffffles . Move and mize,” she wrote.
Over the past few months, she’s just gone from strength to strength and proved that she’s the real deal by piling up milestone after milestone. Her latest milestone is her UK debut performance over the weekend that saw her perform to a sold-out venue at Aroma LDN.”UK debut & a sold out venue full of love 🥺🇬🇧❤️ https://t.co/IGnLeOPo2B,” she wrote.
DBN Gogo has also slapped back to a critic recently. The star had taken to her account shortly after DJ Dimplez trended – and ahead of confirmation of his death from his family – in reply to a tweeted image of the hip hop DJ standing next to rapper Riky Rick, who was laid to rest one week ago. Dimplez, real name Tumi Mooi, died on Sunday after suffering a brain haemorrhage, according to a statement from his family. Naturally, DBN Gogo, who’s fresh from a Paris trip with her new flame, rapper Focalistic, did not take kindly to the trolling and made it clear she was the wrong one to target. “Y’all wanna be disrespectful, thinking people won’t go there with you. I’ve said it countless times: ‘I’m not the one. I don’t bother anyone.’ [So], don’t come for me.”
