Watch! Abidoza Speaks On Working With Big Artists And Not Feeling Like A Shadow. Amogelang Thorne Chabangu also known as Abidoza developed a passion and drive for music at a young age. This then gave birth to the ABIDOZA brand. With over 10 years of experience in the South African music industry, his first major production came in 2018 when he produced the hit song Baby Boy with Tumza D’Kota and Tsitso.
The multi-talented producer is nudging his way into the Amapiano mainstage with consistent hits and working with some of the best artists in the country. Abidoza was asked whether he never feels like an outcast or rather working with big artists steals his shine. Responding to that, he said he never feels that way mainly bcaue he is grateful for even working with them. “I don’t view working with big artists as if I am living under their shadow Matter of fact, I believe in working with big brands to elevate them, and I don’t feel like they took my spotlight because they are putting me on. I’d rather cry in Sandton than cry ko kasi(in the hood). Some artists would invite you to go o the UK with them, just to make music there. I’d agree, I won’t turn down that opportunity. I’d even be grateful for that,” he replied.
Abidoza and Major League DJz currently have one of the biggest albums out in South Africa Pianochella. With hit singles Dinaledi alongside Mpho Sebina and Le Plane E Landile featuring Cassper Nyovest, Kammu Dee & MaLemon. Following Pianochella, the duo has released a follow-up project titled What’s the Levol where Abidoza is responsible for Careless Whisperer alongside Jay Sax and the upbeat Ayeye featuring Costa Titch, Amaroto and Mr. JazziQ.
