JazziQ Reminisces On How Life Was With Mpura And Opens Up About Losing Him. Tumelo Manyoni known professionally as Mr JazziQ, is a South African Amapiano DJ and record producer. He was best known for being a member of the amapiano DJ duo, JazziDisciples.
On Monday, 9 August 2021, the country was rocked with the news of their tragic and untimely passing. The two, along with three other lives that were in the car with them, died in an alleged head-on collision. Besides Mpura and Killer Kau, TD Sage, Thando Tot and Khanya Hadebe were also in the car, and they all tragically died too. It has been about 6 months till Mpura passed away, and JazziQ is still finding it hard to accept. He reminisced on how life was together with Mpura and how life has been since he lost him. “Every night I go to sleeping thinking. I’ll hear you waking me up saying “Dlonti labo cherry ba funa eKFC and se sele nge R20” I can’t get used to it and I’m still waiting for you mfwethu.”
Amapiano producer JazziQ also opened up about his late friend, Mpura, in one of the interviews he did. The musician revealed that he met the Umsebenzi Wethu hitmaker in high school when they were both still into fashion. JazziQ spoke of the fond memories he shared with the two late stars.“I could possibly write a book about you (Killer Kau) as a free spirited soul. Your warm heart and coal burnt voice. The experience I’ve had with you will forever be cherished. I love you ntwana yam.” he wrote.
“With you (Mpura) I didn’t lose a friend or an acquaintance but someone who became a brother. I’m still saying it hurts. I miss you,” he addadded.
