Top 5 Most Streamed Amapiano Artists In South Africa On Spotify. Spotify unveiled its annual 2021 Wrapped results and personalised user experience. At the same time, Spotify revealed the top artists, albums, and songs from the creators that helped soundtrack the year for more than 381 million users worldwide. Spotify has also revealed the most-streamed amapiano artists in South Africa.

Check out the top 5 most streamed amapiano artists in SA:

DJ Maphorisa

Topping the number 1 spot of the most streamed amapiano artist in South Africa on Spotify in 2021 is DJ Maphorisa. Themba Sonnyboy Sekowe, known professionally as DJ Maphorisa, is a South African record producer, DJ and vocalist. The star has been in the industry for over two decades now, and he has definitely earned hi flowers and belts.

Kabza De Small

Amapiano artist Kabza De Small tops the list of the most-streamed South African Amapiano artist in SA. This is not the first time the star has made it into the list, he also topped the most streamed artist in SA in 2019. When Kabza De Small named his 2020 debut album I Am The King Of AmaPiano: Sweet & Dust, he was just stating facts. The album also became the most streamed South African album across all genres on Spotify by South African audiences in 2019.

Busta 929

Not having been in the mainstream for a while, this is definitely a milestone worth celebrating for the star. Busta 929 has had a fruitful year since breaking it into the mainstream and being known as the ‘Umsebenzi Wethu’ hitmaker. The record broke many boundaries and even became the song of the year.

De Mthuda

Mthuthuzeli Khoza has made a name for himself as De Mthuda in amapiano circles, first as a club DJ around South Africa and then as a producer. The star has also been working on his career for too long now, that what he has acheved, he definitely worked hard for.

Mr JazziQ

Tumelo Manyoni known professionally as Mr JazziQ, is a South African Amapiano DJ and record producer. He was best known for being a member of the amapiano DJ duo, JazziDisciples. Today, he is the third most-streamed amapiano artist in South Africa in Spotify this year.
