Indecent Or Branding? Black Twitter Discusses Uncle Waffles’ Dress Code. Uncle Waffles went from begging to play a 5-minute set in a club to becoming one of the most booked DJs in the country in a matter of days. The 21-year-old viral sensation is the hottest DJ on the block right now and is even followed by award-winning rapper, Drake. Uncle Waffles is trending again. And his time, not for her DJing skills but for her famous “T-String” dress code

The young star has once again caught the attention of social media users who can’t help but discuss her underwear which is always on show. The DJ has been compared to the likes of Zodwa Wabantu after she once again performed while showing off her T-string. While some felt like it is her way of staying relevant while some defended her. A fan of Waffles wrote, “rappers will have their pants sagging to their ankles but uncle waffles must be discussed every single day, how boring.”

Y'all bashing Uncle waffles is exactly what Mag G was referring to about the negativity black Twitter has

Uncle Waffles slander is so tired. Let her get gigs, travel and get her bag…Leave the girl alone.

Uncle Waffles can wear whatever she wants to wear, there's no uniform for being a DJ. Just let us celebs wear anything we are comfortable in stop trying to dictate how we dress or how we live our life.

Uncle Waffles is over sexualised… Her brand is being sold as a DJ & exotic dancer. We have 9-years getting impregnated by their rapists & you have pedofiles collecting videos of her dancing with her underwear showing. Soon they’ll use that & DJ lessons to groom their victims.

— MORAL Authority (@lavidaNOTA) December 8, 2021

“A man must” do all the above but when it comes to having an opinion about the over sexualisation of Uncle Waffles he must shut up. A lot of the older women in the industry have been sexually abused & they keep quiet about it so the next girl coming up has to go through the same!

“Uncle Waffles is being booked cause of sex appeal…” listen to that transition bruh😂🔥 https://t.co/0D49iePQFC

The bullshit Uncle Waffles has to deal with week in week out must be draining https://t.co/ASyB57bkqu

Speaking on her journey to becoming DJ, Uncle Waffles says she used the lockdown to her advantage to perfect her craft. “I worked with a lot of creatives, including DJs, in my daily life. When they’d be around, I’d ask to try mixing and I definitely sucked. This changed when a DJ called Stunner actually started teaching me. We’d spend hours on end trying to work on my mixing. After 3 months, he stopped teaching me and insisted that all I needed to do was practice, so I did. Day in and day out during lockdown I’d go to a studio and practice. I would record my mixes to listen to my mistakes and work to improve on those. It took almost a year for me to gain enough confidence to take bookings.”
