Today, amapiano has crossed boarders and allowed amapiano artists to tour international countries.

Major League DJz have taken the world by storm over the past few years, bringing the new sounds of amapiano to the masses. The twin brothers are already rubbing shoulders with international stars thanks to their legendary Balcony mixes that have amassed millions of views, showcasing the trailblazing duo’s amapiano movement. They have toured in multiple international countries, showcasing their talent, thus growing their footprint outside South Africa. They have been to the US, UK, Dubai and more.
Kamo Mphela
Kamo Mphela made South Africa proud as she performed at one of the biggest music festivals in the UK in September. Mphela performed at the Ama Fest, which is known as the largest UK festival dedicated to Amapiano, the festival fuses the best of International and UK Amapiano artists and DJs, while celebrating South African culture at the same time. The festival which took place on the 4th of September 2021 at SOE Showground, Haywards Heath, near London, and saw Mphela perform some of her hits for her UK fans.
Mr JazziQ
With Amapiano going global, some of South Africa’ biggest acts took over the UK at AMA fest 2021. Taking place at the weekend, at the South of England Showground, AMA fest brought various artists in amapiano to UK fans. JazziQ was one of the acts that performed there.
DBN Gogo
DBN Gogo was also a part of the SA artists that showcased their talent at the UK Fest. Gogo said that seeing people embrace the sound from the diaspora is wonderful, especially since the UK is home to many people of the African diaspora. They not only enjoyed hearing some of their favourite songs live, but also the artists behind them.She said that unlike how South Africa has been in various lockdown levels, allowing gathering to an extent “they have been at home in lockdown”, until the lockdown was ended earlier this year.
Focalistic
Amapiano superstar Focalistic who rose to fame with his breakout single Ke Star with Vigro Deep, has also had tours internationally. The multi-talented artist has performed all over the African continent and also took over the United Arab Emirates.
