Uncle Waffles Gets Candid On Her Plans To Release Her Own Music. Uncle Waffles, real name Lungelihle Zwane, captured everyone’s attention a few weeks ago with her DJing skills and she’s mastered how to keep the crowd entertained and engaged with her next-level dance moves. All it took was one viral video for DJ Uncle Waffles to be catapulted into her dream life and now everybody wants to know who the cool young woman taking the world by storm is.

The 21-year-old viral sensation is the hottest DJ on the block right now and is even followed by award-winning rapper, Drake. She has now also been verified on Twitter, a couple of weeks just after she broke into fame. The star is now ready to release her own music, and opened up on plans to do so. “I’d love to work with De Mthuda and Kabza De Small as well as others, the list is too long, she said.

Speaking on her journey to becoming a DJ, the star explained that she used the lockdow’s pandemic to perfect her craft. “I worked with a lot of creatives, including DJs, in my daily life. When they’d be around, I’d ask to try mixing and I definitely sucked. This changed when a DJ called Stunner actually started teaching me. We’d spend hours on end trying to work on my mixing. After 3 months, he stopped teaching me and insisted that all I needed to do was practice, so I did.Day in and day out during lockdown I’d go to a studio and practice. I would record my mixes to listen to my mistakes and work to improve on those. It took almost a year for me to gain enough confidence to take bookings,” she explained.
