Musa Keys Reacts To His Latest Single Trending On YouTube For A Week. Amapiano, the word being used to describe what’s currently South Africa’s fastest-growing electronic-music movement. Amapiano, or piano to the hip, inherits its genetics from lineages of music made and popularised in the country’s townships. The amapiano sub-genre gave Mzansi the young star, Musa Keys.
South African dance music beat-maker Musa Keys real name Musa Makamu, born and raised in Ivy Park, Limpopo, Musa successfully produced his first song aged 14, laying the foundations for his career as a producer. He has gone on to produce mammoth chart-topping hits like his debut single ‘Samarian Boy’ and the second Most Shazamed Song in SA, ‘Vula Mlomo’ featuring Sir Trill and Nobantu Vilakazi.
While the star has become a hit maker, he recently dropped a single titled ‘Wena’ which was well received by his fans, to an exyend that it has been trending on YouTube for over a week. Taking to social media, the young star reacted to the milestone thanking his fans for the support. Check it out:
Speaking on making it this far by himself, Musa reflected on back in the days when he was still trying to break into the music industry. “I’ve relied on people so much, if you could go to my old DM’s that I’ve sent brurs, yho brurs mize. Some would even open and mize. But I understand, it makes sense. Sometimes people wont work with you because you’re not at a specific level yet. Which makes sense, we both can’t be new at this. You’re gonna have to start off somewhere. I am a millionaire for example, and you’re a 100k, we won’t have the same vision. Yes I might have room to listen to you and all of that, but sometimes the spaces won’t be the same at that time. When you up your game and at a specific level, that’s when we can keep the train running together,” he explained.
