Josiah De Disciple Responds To Claims That It Was Mr JazziQ Who Made Him Cool. JazziDisciples was an amapiano DJ and producer duo originating from South Africa. They are composed of two record producers known by their stage names Mr JazziQ and Josiah De Disciple. Their interest for music started at a very early age. They are known for their songs such as Long Lasting, Sgubu Se Monati and their encompassing tag line Amapiano is a lifestyle.

Since the two split, there has been a never ending debate on who the Beyonce of the group is. A critic took to social media claiming that though Mr JazziQ can’t produce, one thing he did and can’t deny is that he made Josiah De Disciple cool. Further stating that if it wasn’t for JazziQ, Josiah wouldn’t have produced records like Askies. Josiah, however, seemingly disagreed to the claims as he responded saying the critic must just go do their research and come back. Check it out:

Josiah De Disciple and Mr JazziQ took to their respective social media pages to announce separately that they are each dropping solo projects. The pair have been releasing projects together since the beginning, and broke hearts of their fans after announcing their split. Despite doing relatively well as a duo for just over three years, the pair decided to split in June 2020, claiming that it was time for them to return to their individual work.

In a statement to local media, JazziDisciples was quoted as saying, “We decided to move from JazziDisciples mainly because we did not want to be glued together as we both believe that we have the potential to grow as individuals, being a duo has taught us both new and entertaining ways to do music, I am grateful for that. Our journey has been bumpy and tricky because we had to fight for recognition while playing a genre that was still new to the ars of many, but it is undoubtedly one of the best genres in the country, mainly because it’s brewed here.”

Whilst the two are currently pursuing their solo careers, they have stipulated on multiple occasions that they have not formally split, and they would rather consider their time apart as a hiatus. Fans are hopeful that they will reunite in the near future, after achieving their individual goals.
