It has emerged that DBN Gogo, the upcoming house music DJ then, now established amapiano DJ, has carved out a name for herself without using any of her powerful family connections. She has built an empire all by herself. She undoubtedly owned the decks in 2020 and continues to do so well into 2021 with her online quarantine sessions and live gigs.
While there has been a rise of women in the DJing scene at the moment, some videos of upcoming DJs have emerged while fans have ranked them not so good. DJ Enzo then took to social media t share some advice for those who wnt to learn how to DJ, not to learn at gigs. DBN Gogo then replied to the tweet saying that she actually learn how to play ar gigs, graveyard shifts and playing for staff members, further stating that each journey is different. Check it out:
She further explained that she agrees with DJ Enzo about having a knack for music. “Enzo is right about having the knack for it. Music is something that you get or you simply don’t. Uncle Vinny said he learnt on the spot when the resident at his frequent spot didn’t pitch so he asked to play. Lol sometimes you just know,” she explained.
Speaking on the recent success of her hit track Khuza Gogo, the DJ said her journey had only just begun and asked fans to watch out for more. “Khuza Gogo has had a powerful impact on my career and has pushed me to boundaries I never expected.
