Maphorisa Calls Shimza Out For Not Giving Upcoming Artists A Chance. Maphorisa who is known for discovering talent, has grown the Amapiano movement to what it is today together with new talent. DJ Maphorisa called out DJ Shimza for closing doors in the music industry. The Izolo hitmaker is not happy with the way Shimza is handling young and upcoming artists.Notoriously known for being self-centred, Shimza accepted Maphorisa’s criticism, but he tried to explain his working methods.
Phori told Shimza to start including new talent in this songs and not only gigs, and he said that is the only way to grow the Afrotech culture as he wishes. “why u always make music alone 💔 no young up coming nyana everytime shimza alone Grow this afro movement uplift young talent bro please dats why they end up hating us cause u close doors dnt tell me u made dat beat alone, sorry but i had to take out my chest in front of everyone ❤️ love u mfanaka but i cnt.” He further went on to say: “u knw wat im talking about ghost producers dat u give once off fees dat thing must stop n give them credit ft them on ur song let them shine, now dat wud grow ur movement, im a producer i knw how it feels to be left out please change the game, make n ep with all of them get them gigs too grow this shit.”
This comes after Shimza shared that he has a sold out show where he will be playing only afrotech. Prince Kaybee took to Twitter sharing the same sentiments as Maphorisa.“Art was never designed to be owned by one person. We are obligated to pay it forward & ensure that the art lives beyond us. We must uplift young artists! That other guy can just tell Drake, ‘yo we have Kabza I want you to meet him’, but because he is a one-man show …”
