According to reports, radio and TV personality “Bujy” Bikwa was recently booked and charged for assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm after allegedly throwing a glass at media personality Boity Thulo. This resulted in Boity being injured on the face after an argument broke out at a hotel in Midrand Johannesburg.
After news broke about Boity being allegedly physically assaulted, social media created a buzz to cancel the accused. Images later leaked, of Boity walking out of a hotel in Midrand where she was assaulted, and has sparked outrage on social media. After being held in custody at the Johannesburg Correctional Centre, Bujy was granted R2 000 bail at the Midrand Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday and warned by the court not to tamper with investigations.Boity has since addressed the incident in a statement saying she is following the case with keen interest.
“It is with deep sadness to state that I was indeed an unfortunate victim of a vicious physical assault and that I have since opened a case against the culprit, which I am following with a keen interest. I do not wish to comment on this matter any further (at this time),” read Boity’s statement.
