Pics! Lady Du Shares Photos Showing How Young She Was When She Started In The Entertainment Industry. Lady Du is currently one of the hottest voices in amapiano. Born into a family of musicians, her father DJ Choc and uncle DJ Zan D are reputable deejays and producers. Lady Du, real name Dudu Ngwenya, first learned how to play at the tender age of nine. Since then and during her early adult life, she had been trying to get a successful break into the music industry.
Lady Du who has been in the industry for over a decade now, took to social media to share that she has actually been in the entertainment industry more than most artists. She also mentioned that she has released songs a while back that most people are now aware she’s behind the production. “I’ve been in this industry longer than you guys know, been an underdog 🙏 do your research you’ll see how many of my songs you’ve been dancing to and didn’t even know it was me. This is a picture of me when I was 10 playing and won the competition . Worked on ukhozi too 2013,” she wrote.
She further went on to say, “They are also performing in Manchester at the BEC Arena this weekend at an event dubbed The Kings Of Amapiano.
However, as South Africans were celebrating the genre making its way to the international stage, many Twitter users pondered where Babes would have been if she had not suffered setbacks in her career.
While other users called for people to stop comparing the two artists Lady Du is among those who believe in Babes and her achievements in the music industry.”
Though she made songs with renowned producers such as DJ Clock, DJ Mshega and DJ Maphorisa (back when he still did gqom) in 2013, 2014 and 2018 respectively, her breakthrough only came under a year ago through the track “Superstar”, alongside revered amapiano deejay and producer Mr JazziQ.
