Mapara A Jazz React To Being The Cover Of Spotify’s Amapiano Grooves. Mamelodi (Pheli) duo Mano Nephawe and Leornard Malatji, who are now known to Mzansi as Mapara A Jazz hitmakers of “John Vuli Gate” have been in the music industry for quite some time now, till they blew up after their hit single made rounds on social media thus topping charts. And since then, the duo’s career has been skyrocketing.
Mapara A Jazz are recently on the cover of music streaming platform Spotify under the AmaPiano Grooves category. Considering their consistency in dropping new yanos tracks, the stars most definitely deserve the recognition. The duo took to social media to share the announcement with their fans and followers and wrote, “We are the cover of #AmapianoGroovesPlaylist on @SpotifySA 🙌. #PianoOffering.”
Their lives have changed with just a one liner – ‘John Vuli Gate’. “Honestly speaking we told ourselves that our time will come, that is why we never gave up. But then because it has been so long waiting for this, we are like, WOW,” they said.
The song which features Ntosh Gazi & Colano also started a dance challenge. Some even went as far as comparing it to the ultimate hit song, Sister Bettina. This is a first for the duo who have been making music since 2007. They called themselves ‘MaBen10’ because they were invading taverns and tents. “We have always been known for the original Pitori sound, barcadi music. If you listen, that is why our piano is different, there is this rawness about it,” one half of the duo said.
