Major League DJz Ink New Dea With International Management Company. African Dance music duo that consists of twin brothers born in America, but raised on South African soil. The duo is popular for dance music, amapiano. The duo has completely revolutionised kwaito music into the modern urban culture of music. The band’s popularity clearly shows that they are worth following and listening to, and they are also the Mzansi entertainment bosses.
Major League DJz have just inked a new deal with an international management company, CAA Music. The company took to social media to make the announcement and captioned the post: “New Client: Major League DJz! This DJ duo – twin brothers Bandile and Banele Mbere – are spearheading the evolution of dance music, globally. Born in America and raised in South Africa, the group is known for pioneering the South African house genre Amapiano and have been at the forefront of the sound since its inception. Follow along to see what they do next @majorleaguedjz and we’ll see you on the dance floor.”
The pair, who are currently in London on a ‘take Amapiano to the world’ tour, said the experience has been astonishing. “The people here are so welcoming. They know us because of our YouTube series, the Balcony mix, which does extremely well this side so we’ve been received with open arms. This has opened up many doors internationally; it’s been dope,” they said.
As a result, the duo will only be returning to South Africa in November as their tour will continue to other parts of the world including countries such as Belgium and the USA. However, South African fans can still look forward to Balcony mixes every Friday and more music. “For the rest of 2021, fans can look forward to a lot of music and collaborations with artists outside of South Africa. We’re spinning the sound and more good energy and good vibes will come from us. We’ll also be shooting the balcony mix everywhere we go,” they concluded.
