Boohle Reveals Which Parts Of “Siyathandana” Cassper Actually Wrote. Boohle real name Buhle Manyati hailing from Vosloorus, had been on a long journey to making a name for herself since venturing into music in 2016 as a mother of one. Today, the 23-year-old singer has some of the biggest hits topping charts and radio.
Boohle is currently topping the trends list on Twitter following comments she made about Cassper Nyovest during the MacG podcast and Chill interview. Sol Phenduka asked Boohle if Cassper had written the hit song “Siyathandana”, and Boohle replying by saying: “He only came with his verse and I wasn’t even there.” Watch the interview below:
The song “Siyathandana” was released about two months ago and has already amassed over 6 million views and counting on YouTube. She’s also nominated in four different categories for the SA Amapiano Awards that are set to take place later this year. The singer who once tried her hand at the gospel genre, now identifies as an ‘all-round artist — who does amapiano.
Twitter is quite divided as some fans are unimpressed by the comments she made, while some feel she had to break her silence. One fan wrote, “You’re safe boohle. Don’t give away any credit for your work queen. You did nothing wrong. MacG makes good interviews she.. the questions that break power chains. Now we know that you’re a writer and a good one. Go on GIIIIRL!!!!!”
Another social media user felt as though she had just killed her career by making such comments about Cassper. “Boohle just killed her career man , look at how she sits and laughs without defending Cassper kodwa they worked together , not once did Cassper even claim to have written Siyathandana . MacGs gain is Boohles loss I guess,” he wrote.

Speaking to TshisaLIVE earlier this year about her rise to fame, Boohle said that she had been sending the rapper direct messages on social media for as long as she can remember. “I always tell people to keep sending the DMs, to keep calling and keep pushing because one day you’ll get there. With me and Cassper it also started in the DMs. I kept sending direct messages to him. I got a call asking for a studio session so when I got to the location I realised that it’s Cassper’s house. I was so honoured that he was the one who called me to come to the studio because he had a beat for me,” she said.
