Boohle Opens Up About The Lengths She Went To Try Get In The Music Industry Before Making It Big. The singing competition Idols SA, had several guest performances over the weekend, bringing new energy into the lives of viewers of the show, which is currently in its 17th season. For the weekend, the show had the likes of Makhadzi, Mthandazo Gatya, Big Zulu, Pabi Cooper and Boohle perform for viewers. It was a day of good music and a good time for those who watched, as artists from different genres wowed in song.

Boohle revealed that she once auditioned at the Idols SA competition but she got a No from the judge and never went through, however, she was glad that years later she performed on the big live stage singing her own song. She took to social media to share these with her fans, “Last night’s recap. I’m super proud of myself! People would ask me why I never went to Idols and well …I did! and I got a NO😭 nobody knew it because it didn’t even show on tv(yes there’s a behind the scenes that people don’t know about 🙄 lol) but my heart has always yearned to get on that stage. Years later I’m performing my own song, Idols came to me asked to be there!!!! This is not only a dream come true it’s God showing off! Let’s not give up bantase.”

Boohle is proof enough that with dedication and hard work, anyone can reach their goals. Today, she featured in one of the biggest amapiano songs “Siyathandana” and worked alongside Cassper Nyovest and Abidoza. Speaking about her rise to fame, Boohle — real name Buhle Manyathi — said that she had been sending the rapper direct messages on social media for as long as she can remember.

“I always tell people to keep sending the DMs, to keep calling and keep pushing because one day you’ll get there. With me and Cassper it also started in the DMs.  I kept sending direct messages to him. I got a call asking for a studio session so when I got to the location I realised that it’s Cassper’s house. I was so honoured that he was the one who called me to come to the studio because he had a beat for me,” she said.
