Shimza And Miss Pru Claim ‘Phuze’ Is Not An Amapiano Song. Unquestionably one of South Africa’s brightest talents, Shimza real name Ashley Raphala has made the transition from aspirant industry young blood to leading light of the global afro house scene at almost breakneck speed.

Shimza too to social media to let his fans know that one of the biggest amapiano tracks ‘Phuze’ by Dlala Thukzin, Mpura, Sir Trill, Zaba, and Rascoe Kao; he is claiming it as Afrohouse, and it should not be debated. Miss Pru also replied to the star that she is also claiming it as qgom, and therefore falls under every genre.

We claiming this song as Afrohouse, let’s not argue! ❤️ pic.twitter.com/iq6LOnXlcg

Gqom nation claimed it too, I guess it fits in every genre 😅

The star recently remixed some of the biggest amapiano songs into Afrotech. The star’s motive behind that is t keep Afrotech alive despite other genres such as amapiano taking over the mainstream. Not one to slow down, South African superstar DJ and producer, Shimza takes on the instant classic Amapiano songs, ‘Khuza Gogo, LiYashona & Banyana’ from Amapiano artists that feature the biggest artist in the Amapiano genre

The originals have already skyrocketed through the charts and now it’s time for the remixes to make waves. With a steadfast Afro-tech lead, an addictive rhythm section and a poignant vocal line that pulsates through this beautifully encapsulated take on the original tracks, these remixes just go to show the true power of cross-genre collaboration and Shimza’s production prowess.
