A Podcaster of the monthly Radio Show titled; The Ashmed Hour, that specialises in the following Sub-Genres – House Music, Lounge Music, Trip Hop, Breaks, Nu-Jazz, Neo-Soul & Acid Music.
A fan took to social media to ask Oscar Mbo what had happened to ‘The Ashmed Hour’ podcast, and the star made it clear what the podcast has done for new artists despite it having stopped operating, however, he promised that it will be back. “I turned a 10 year Podcast into a record label that exposes groundbreaking talent to the forefront. I’m more into helping new artists who don’t have the means to do it, yet remain independent. Podcast genuinely did what it was supposed to, elevation. Will bring it back though,” he wrote.
Speaking n when he started DJing, the star said: “It all began in 2009, doing my final year in Hoerskool Kriel, my home town based in Mpumalanga. I was exposed to people who have passion for music & I fell in love with exploring & collecting music with learning all the differences of Sub-Genre’s of House Music & so forth. I started off playing at Pub’s & Clubs as I was still trying to build an image for myself & select what kind of artist I would like to be. Moved on to doing Festival’s & playing at the big cities in South Africa & neighbouring countries.”
