Major League DJs Reveal The Crazy Amount Of Money They Have Spent In A Club. South African producer and deejay duo Major League DJz duo have been hitting up the industry for quite a while now. They recently pivoted their sound to amapiano and have been taking it across SA and beyond. Together with their famous Balcony Mixes, the duo has done an excellent job of packaging the amapiano as well as party the culture of SA.

Lasizwe asked the Major League DJz the most expensive amount they have spent in a club. This comes after he said he would never spend over R10 000 on something that you’d eventually have to pee. However, it was a different story to the Major League duo as they said they can spend over 150 to 180k in a club. “Us men can’t speak like that, Lasizwe can. Who do you think is gonna buy us alcohol? you know the hunnies (they said in humour). We’ve spent over 150k 180, it was in LA. Diddy was there, Offset was there and Future too.

The twins admit to have taken a knock like many event organisers during lockdown, however, they are not staying down. To combat the disruption caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, they have started a YouTube web series Amapiano Live Balcony Mix Africa that sees them performing live sets. Since its inception last year, the web series has featured guest appearances by Kabza De Small and Mr JazziQ. The episode with Kabza De Small was viewed over 447k times within a week.

Speaking on their reasoning for the switch to the popular house music subgenre, the music duo said: “It was a bit worrying, but we basically knew what we were trying to do. You know, dance is a very big genre in Africa and the world alone. So, moving into that space wasn’t that hard, but we just had to tell the fans like, ‘This is how we’re moving.’ And now, and this is how we make touring.”
