Lady Du Lists Amapiano Artists That Make “Bomb” Productions. Lady Du, real name Dudu Ngwenya, first learned how to play at the tender age of nine. Since then and during her early adult life, she had been trying to get a successful break into the music industry, and it was only in 2020 that she received her big break.
Amapiano vocalist Lady Du took to social media to list amapiano artists that make “bomb” productions. The star listed Kabza and Maphorisa, Busta 929, Josiah De Disciple, T man SA, Mellow and Sleazy, Semi Tee, De Mthuda, Abidoza, Musa Keys, Visca, including upcoming amapiano artists who have backroom studios. “Kabza and Maphorisa Busta 929 Josiah T man sa Mellow and sleazy Semi tee Mthuda Abidoza Musa keys Visca And those bedroom studio young boys Will give you bombs, I tell you when it comes to production,” she wrote.
She is the daughter of veteran R n B DJ Choc, and her uncle is DJ Zan D, meaning music runs in her blood. Her father taught her how to DJ before she could solve complicated Maths equations. At 9, she won her first DJing competition which was to set the pace for what was to come. Lady Du has always been sure about the path she wanted to take.
Lady Du blew up during the time at which amapiano was popular. “It’s funny that I popped because of amapiano. When “Superstar” was released, I had been working with JazziQ for a while. We have a few deep house tracks that we released together! My dad and JazziQ’s uncle are business partners so he’s more of a brother to me. “Superstar” was actually the last song I had planned to do. I had so many scars from having previously tried to launch my music career and felt like it was time to give up. I now know some of the celebrities I sang about on “Superstar” personally,” she said.
