Lady Du Explains The Process She Underwent To Surprise Makhadzi On Her New Yanos Track. Lady Du real name Dudu Ngwenya has been making headlines recently for killing every feature she makes. The star is one of the most featured amapiano vocalists at the moment, and she has been consistent in doing so, breaking every boundary.

Makhadzi just dropped a new amapiano banger titled Tchukucha featuring amapiano vocalist Lady Du. And to a surprise, Lady Du sings in Venda on the song. Lady Du said she wanted to surprise Makhadzi, and also share the side of her that her fans aren’t familiar with. She took to her Instagram to write: “A side of me that a lot of you don’t know vocally, I asked my best friend @momo_the_princess to help me translate to Venda to surprise @makhadzisa by rapping in Venda let’s go, take us to number one y’all our song is out on all digital platforms.”

Lady Du has been going through emotional distress recently following the passing of Killer Kau and Mpura. On a now-deleted Instagram post, the vocalist expressed that she feels numb and weak. She wrote: “I’ve been through soooo much in my life, I’ve been depressed, suicidal, I survived all that, today as I lie in my bed crying I feel a pain that takes me to a dark place. I feel numb, weak, the toxic environment I’m entering is not good for my heart. I’m crying for my friends, I have to deal with toxic people, still have to smile and act brave. People telling me to ignore everything, how??”

“All I know is writing songs and championing God, I pray a lot, I fast, I meditate but I haven’t even done it. Because telling people to pray now has become something else. I will be honest, I am broken, I am in pieces, If this is the price we pay to be In show biz, y’all can close my curtains. God knows my heart. I love hard, I ask all my friends to pray all the time. Today I ask God to clean our hearts,” she explained.
