“Fully Booked,” DBN Gogo On Her Gigs For The Next Two Months. Mandisa Radebe famously known as DBN Gogo has taken the DJing scene by storm since her introduction to the game. Whether it is her sets that leave people begging for more or her hit singles, she has set the game ablaze. Having played at huge festivals and gigs, DBN Gogo is not about to stop anytime soon.

DBN Gogo is booked and busy even during lockdowns. She took to social media stating that she is fully booked for the next two months. It is no doubt considering that she has been making headlines recently with her collaborations with some of the biggest amapiano stars to release bangers. “Fully booked until October,” she wrote.

Speaking on the type of music she grew up listening to, DBN Gogo said: “Everything hey… When we were in Paris, all the artists coming from South Africa to perform in France would always come to my house. I grew up literally chilling, sitting, eating dinner, maybe every month with Miriam Makeba. I always grew up in that environment. But also, that was the start of the “MTV” generation for real. Listened to all sorts of weird European, trancey stuff & also house. A lot of Kwaito, Jazz, Miriam Makeba, Hugh Masekela & a lot of House. South African music was a big part of my life.”

DBN Gogo said the place she would like to play at is the Coachella. “Coachella. I think it is one of the best & biggest urban music festivals we actually have in the world. I’d also really love to play at Tomorrowland.”

The star said it kicked in a bit late that DJing could actually be a career worth pursuing. “I think it only kicked in this year when I realized my mom was starting to understand. That’s when I was like ‘okay, it might be a real thing’. When she’s just like “oh, so you have money mos” and it’s like “yeah, I actually do. I don’t actually need to ask you for stuff’. Like I actually work now as much as it’s weird, I actually work. So that’s when I realized that’s it’s a real thing,” she explained.
