Aymos Reveals The Artwork For His Forthcoming Album And Release Date. Aymos Shili who gained recognition after featuring in one of the biggest amapiano tracks ‘Emcimbini’ by Scorpion Kings has been making headlines recently following his biggest features in the industry. The star shared earlier this year that he was working on his album and since then, fans have been waiting in awe to hear what the star has been working on.
Aymos revealed the artwork for his forthcoming album titled ‘Yimi Lo’ and announced that it will drop this Friday. He wrote, “I am proud to reveal the new album artwork for Yimi Lo, out this Friday! ‘Yimi Lo’ means “this is who I am” and reflects my journey thus far in the music industry as an artist. Aymos says that sometimes working with bigger artists steals the shine of upcoming artists because everyone gets fixated on the bigger artist even if the song is not theirs. “All the credit goes to them and that’s why I decided to work on my own project, which is my debut album, Yimi Lo. It will be coming out next month. The album defined who I am and it will take people on a journey of getting to know me. I started recording it in 2020 during the first lockdown, I speak about my childhood and cultural values.”
His album will be a fuse of afro centric beats with amapiano sounds and he wants it to be a reflection of his versatility as an artist. “Mas Musiq and TO Starquality were the people engineering the music and I feel blessed to have such support and having people who understand me and what I stand for. There are people who still care about the lyrical content of songs, and I want to cater to them,” he said.
