Focalistic Reacts To ‘GUPTA’ Being Played In The Tallest Building In The World. Focalistic’s rise over the last few years has been meteoric. His style has changed significantly since he emerged as a rapper a few years ago. He’s shifted from hip-hop and embraced the emergence of Amapiano — a South African flavour of jazz inflected house music with Kwaito basslines — with a slew of hits alongside fellow Amapiano stars DJ Maphorisa, Kabza De Small, and regular collaborations with just about everyone else leading the genres charge to the mainstream.
Focalistic is set to perform in Dubai in one of his international gigs, and to his welcome, ‘GUPTA’ was being played in the tallest building in the world Burj Khalifa in Dubai. This was a milestone and also an achievement to Focalistic and the Amapiano movement. Foca was beaming with excitement as he shared the news with his fans. Posting a video of himself vibing to his hit song, Foca captioned it: “We went to the HIGHEST lounge in the world in Dubai, in the Burj Khalifa, the TALLEST building on earth and they were Playing Gupta… Feels so amazing to represent Kasi yaka all around the world 🌐🌐🌐🌐🌐 ASE TRAP TSE KE…. https://t.co/CEzYQElxBf.”
Focalistic has done well for himself, from being an upcoming artist in the streets of Pretoria and now being booked international and to perform Mzansi’s craft, amapiano.
The star recently collaborated with Tanzanian-musician Diamond Platnumz on an amapiano track featuring Mapara A Jazz and Ntosh Gazi titled ‘Iyo’. The first collaborated that he says was his dream collaboration was with Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido on the remix of ‘Ke star’s featuring Vigro Deep.
