Fans React To Focalistic’s Dubai Gig Guide. Focalistic aka Piotir Maradona has done quite well in introducing amapiano to other countries. The star completely blew to fame following his hit single ‘Ke Star’s featuring Vigro Deep. The track earned Foca a major collaboration with Davido, and ever since, he has been unstoppable. Foca continues to get artists outside Mzansi to ride on the Amapiano wave. He also recently collaborated with Tanzanian-musician on am amapiano joint titled ‘Iyo’.
Focalistic has been touring around the world, mostly African countries. However, he recently announced his Dubai Gig Guide and fans couldn’t help but stan at his achievement. This is such a big deal considering that everything Foca had been manifesting is becoming real.
Focalistic’s rise over the last few years has been meteoric. His style has changed significantly since he emerged as an excitable and ambitious boom bap rapper a few years ago. Aside from the release of the hip-hop single Never Know, featuring SA’s heavyweight rapper Cassper Nyovest in early 2020, he’s shifted from hip-hop and embraced the emergence of Amapiano — a South African flavour of jazz inflected house music with Kwaito basslines — with a slew of hits alongside fellow Amapiano stars DJ Maphorisa, Kabza De Small, and regular collaborations with just about everyone else leading the genres charge to the mainstream.
