“Remove Yourself From People, They’ll Make You A P*ssy,” JazziQ. Mr JazziQ who first emerged as one-half of JazziDisciples, has been giving Mzansi some of the greatest amapiano hits from the time he was still in the musical group and even as a solo artist. The South African DJ and producer released a slate of singles that played an important role in Amapiano’s rapid journey. And now, in 2021, Tumelo Manyoni has his eyes on a bigger prize: using his homegrown success to take over the global music scene.
JazziQ took to Twitter to give his fans some advice on maintaining peace. The star wrote: “Phuma emuntwini! Ube nePeace. Danko(remove yourself from people, and have peace. Thank you.)” He later recorded a video of himself to repeat the words that some recall “a wise man once said”. Watch the video below:
Although he wasn’t specific on what or who he is referring to, many couldn’t help but link the video to his split with Josiah De Disciple. The two were once a popular duo giving Mzansi hits after hits. The other former half of JazziDisciples, Josiah, had taken to social media discrediting JazziQ claiming that he was the one responsible for the hits made by the duo.
Speaking on their separation, JazziQ told Sunday World that they wanted to grow their careers separately. “We decided to move from JazziDisciples mainly because we did not want to be glued together as we both believe that we have the potential to grow as individuals, being a duo has taught us both new and entertaining ways to do music, I am grateful for that. Our journey has been bumpy and tricky because we had to fight for recognition while playing a genre that was still new to the ears of many but it is undoubtedly one of the best genres in the country, mainly because it’s brewed here,” he told the publication.
