Amapiano singer, songwriter and DJ Lady Du, real name Duduzile Ngwenya, has opened up about meeting her soul mate, former Isibaya actor Andile Mxakaza, at the height of her depression and how his love became her lifeline. Lady Du even penned an emotional letter to Andile in which she paid tribute to him for the part he has played in her life since they met during a dark time in her life.
Lady Du and Andile got engaged last year, three months after reconciling. This year, Andile decided to upgrade Lady Du’s ring by giving her an engagement ring with an even bigger rock. The two stars have now decided to take their relationship to the next level by getting matching tattoos. The tattoos are on their wrists and are a queen and king’s crowns. “I found my soulmate @andilemx. king and queen, we got matching tats,” Lady Du captioned. See post:
On Andile’s birthday, Lady du wrote a lengthy heartfelt message to Andile that reads: “Last year March before lockdown I met Andile, we started talking, I was not in a good space so he was really patient with me, 4 month before that I was discharged from hospital I had depression, to point where I tried committing suicide, it was the most hardest time of my life. I lost every single thing in my life including my family, I was alone, going through the most. I went for counselling on the last day of my counselling session the lady said take yourself out, that’s exactly what I did, lol guess who I met this mad one here, guys I swear it was like God brought him straight from heaven. We’ve known each other for years, he looked at me asked me if I’m ok I said no I started crying.”
“We spoke for 3 months guys 3 months nothing happened, it was like he was counselling me again. he’d park outside my house, talk to me, lol even said a man doesn’t entre a woman’s house, that time I live with just my daughter, he then asked we pray together everyday at 9. Hay listen I was shocked by half the things we’d do together. 4 month later he made a promise to me his words were >>>unlike all the people that left me and have been hurting me, he’ll stay forever. I really thought he was bullshitting. A week later he bought a ring, this was before he even touched me intimately. He said I want to make you my wife, I know your personality, i Know how kind you are. please be my wife. From that day I’ve been treated like a queen, taught a new kind of love. Respect, unconditional love, family, that I even spoke to my family and fixed things with them,” she wrote.
